Hey Coach, I just started doing OH squats, and when i am in the squatting position, I have a tendency to lift my heels. Is this a correct or incorrect technique? Also another questions, how important are weightlifting shoes? Thanks for the help Coach.

i hope you are u sing wt. lifting shoes. if not, get them. the heals should be flat on the ground while doing ohs. shoes are critical in my opinion.

What if you do have shoes and this still happens?

kaleb, i would be working hard on hamstring flex as well as ankle, knee, hip flexibility.
