Hi Coach,
When I go heavy on squats my right hip comes up and out to the side as I come up. I have been following CrossFit for about 10 months.

face the rack....put bar on back or front....step back....take a deep breath....slightly put weight on the outsides of your feet, decend and force the knees out and weight on outside of feet...slightly. that is what i have my kids do when this happens. it works.
