What do the %s mean? (Like: Back Squat 80%X2) Is that percent referring to our maximum lift or our body weight?

normally that means the % of a max in the current back sqt. for example my son casey's best back sqt is 280 so i would normally take 80% x 280 for his wt. to use.....however he is not at that current level....he is at app 260 level.....that is the wt. i would use then. 80% x 260 to get the wt. to be used. hope this helps. coach b
