Dear Coach Burgener,
I had a discussion with a friend about the use of the Front or Back Squat. My opinion is that the Back Squat is amore useful tool to gain (total body) strength while the Front Squat has it's role as an important assistance lift especially for the olympic lifts.
I also saw that your Squat program uses more the Back Squat then the Front Squat.
So what is your opinion about the use of Back and Front Squat?
Thank you!

Alex

Alex- You are right on! We used to program a lot of back squats for beginning and young lifters, but for advanced lifters who have a solid foundation of leg strength, front squats are the way to go!
