I have noticed a nasty problem when I snatch. Rather then brush the bar against my hips when I jump, I keep banging my pubic bone against the bar. Ouch!

What cue should I be thinking about to avoid this problem? Is it more than one?

There is definitely going to be contact with the hip and barbell, but I refer to it as a brush...not a bang! You must think vertical hips!!!! Not thrusting your hips into the barbell! I'd recommend doing snatching form the high hang and launch position to get it squared away.
