COACH B,

THANKS AGAIN FOR COACHING ME IN THE WORLD TEAM QUALIFIER AND THE NATIONALS, MEANS A LOT. I HAD A QUESTIONS REGARDING "ICE", YOU MENTION IT IN SOME OF YOUR WODs AND I WAS WONDERING WHAT SPECIFICALLY DO YOU DO WITH ICE? I'M CONSTANTLY ON MY FEET (COACH FOOTBALL AND TEACH) AND I'M LOOKING FOR WAYS TO RECOVER QUICKER.

at your level you should be doing contrast baths after hard workout. at mikes gym we jump into a pool and swim/splash around after a hard workout in the summer. in the winter the athletes jump into the pool for a 3-5 min period when the water is 50 degree. cold but really helps with recovery. at your school i am sure you have a training room....get the ice on the knees, shoulders, low back right after a very hard session. this will help prevent problems, much like a pitcher in the major leagues ice's his elbow and shoulder after pitching whether he has an injury or not.

hope this helps.
